CCAMA In Cotton Days Parade Washington, UT

The beginning of the parade is announced and the moment arrives when you can hear the rumbling of the tractors and see the American flags unfolding and waving in the winds. The long line of CCAMA members came one by one down the hill with their children and grandchildren and dogs riding right up there with them. They smiled and waved as they drove by. It was an inspirational sight to see and a heartfelt patriotic feeling.

Were you there?

The Fun Pull was held at Red and June Salisbury's. We arrived around 9:30 am. The weather was gorgeous and the pull went on under blue skies and a last quarter moon.

Some tractors drove right into Red's from the road and others were
unloaded off their trailers. Everyone weighed in.

WORK PARTY 2015

An annual work meeting was held at Red and June Salisbury's place. That is Red over there on the right.

I hear there was Pizza for lunch and adjustments were made for the tractor sled .

FYI for those of you who are new to all this, like I am, you may want to know what a tractor sled does so I got that information for you and me below.

The sled is known as a weight transfer sled. This means that as it is pulled down the track, the weight is transferred (linked with gears to the sled’s wheels) from over the rear axles and towards the front of the sled. In front of the rear wheels, there is a "pan". This is essentially a metal plate and as the weight moves over this the resistance builds. The further the tractor pulls the sled, the more difficult it gets.
