Cotton Days were a blast.

Rumor has it that the final repairs on the sled were made just hours before everyone started arriving for the Parade and pull. We had a good crowd for the day. After the parade we started with a kiddie pull. There were several young contenders who soon discovered it was harder than it looked.

The day went off without a hitch and everyone had a good time. Check back for photos of the event. I hope to get them up within the week.

April Newsletter

Thanks to all for a Great Year!

We ended the year's events the way we started it, with another fun pull in Washington, UT and celebrated Cody Kimber's birthday again in the process. Thanks Betsy and Cody for a great way to end our year's events.

Everyone have a good and safe Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's and watch your mail the end of Dec./first of Jan. for the next newsletter.

We sure missed being able to get to the fun at Cedar City this year. HOpe you were able to make it. The weather seemed to be good for it.

Dean Dysart sent some photos of our sled since they worked it over. Sure looks good. Check it out on the slideshows to the left.

Our next and last pull for the year is in Washington on November 15th. It begins at 10:00 am and registation begins at 9:00 am. Pre-registration is recommended so we can start on time.

Our Annual meeting will be held on February 21st in Washington at the same place as last year. The price for dinner has not yet been determined.

I would like to invite all of you to send me photos and articles, etc. for the next newsletter coming out in December. Yep, it's just about that time. I need time to work them all up, so send them as soon as you can to judykitson@hughess.net or by snail mail to po box 2440, Page, AZ 86040.

The Iron County Ride and the Page Pull are now just fond memories. But there is more fun to come.
Up next is the Cedar City Livestock Show and Pull. Oct 24-25th.
Kip Hanson is the one to call for all the information. It sound like it will be a lot of fun and will also be the last scored pull of the year.

It Works!

The new sled is finished and works. It has a 5 speed transmission. I got the first pull with the Farmall A and it gave me a nice pull before shutting me down in first. Gene got about as far with hiw Ford in second. Jim tried with the big Michigan Loader and in 5th it gave him a nice pull and shut him down.
This may just be the one to stop the Seamon?
Shifting and breaks are all handled from the outside, no crawling under. Breakman rides on the side.
Should be a great day for pulling. Hope to see you this weekend in Page, AZ.

What's Past and What's Coming Up Next

Western Legends is now a memory, but what fun we had with over 30 tractors making over 50 pulls!

We were all thrilled to see the Screaming Seamon back out as well, with a new paint job and more pulling weight.

September 26-28, brings the Antique Tractor Pull and Antique Machine Show in Page, AZ.
Gene and Jim are not only makeing the field better but are building their own sled for this and future Page Pulls. You can see more about it at: http://pagetractorpull.blogspot.com/

So far outside of the cost of some help and tools, the sled itself has been made from donated parts from Page Steel, or parts laying around our lot. I'm constantly impressed that it's coming together at all and what all it's coming together with. It will definitely be one of a kind. Keep watching the PageTractorPull site to see how it is coming.

If you are planning to attend, be sure to get your hotel reservations in NOW. There will also be selfcontained camping available.
