This year's Annual Awards Banquet is THE Event you don't want to miss.
Over the years we have grown as a club and now just won't fit in most restaurants. This year Red and June have found a fantastic catered location just for us.
Not only will there be a great meal and good camaraderie but Awards.
*There will be a Gold, Silver and Bronze trophy in each class for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners in points that are now being personalized for those winners.
*There will also be door prizes
* And we will be laying out the events calendar for this year.
All this begins Jan 26th at 5pm.
Be sure to get your reservation in early. You don't want to miss out on this one.
I know Jim and I, Rob and his wife Ely, and Gene and his wife are making plans to attend. Hope to see you there too.

Happy 2008!
Hope everyone is as excited as I am about the new year 2008. To me a new year is a clean slate that we can write a new chapter of our lives on. Anything can and will happen but we get to make the choice as to how it will all affect us and what we want to do with what comes our way. One choice I hope you will make is to attend this year's annual meeting & dinner in Washington, UT, January 26th. It will be held at Cotton Town Village, 28 N 300 W, Washington, UT beginning at 5 pm. June Salisbury and Rosie Kirkland have planned a fantastic catered 2 meat Buffet complete with all the trimmings for $18.50 per person. All reservations must be in for a set head count by Jan.23. Any reservation not cancelled before the 23rd must be honored and paid for. No refunds after that date. You may reserve and pay at the door or send your money ahead with your reservation to june.s@wildblue.net or mail your check & reservation to June Salisbury, 925 S. 1775 E, Washington, UT 84780. At our annual meeting we will also be planning this years calendar. Be sure to bring all your information for any events you will be sponsoring. You can also email that information ahead to me so I can begin getting it on the calendar. judykitson@hughes.net. Another choice I hope you will make is to renew your membership for the coming year. It's time and June tells me she needs your renewal in by Feb. 15 so she can have the information in to National so our events can be covered properly. You can also pay at the dinner.
Our first newsletter for 2008 is out. To help save on postage, Hard Copies were only mailed to all those who don't have access to the Internet. You can find your copy here as you scan on down the page. As part of our newsletter there is also a copy of the newsletter from our National organization E.D.G.E & T. A. I hope another choice you will make this year is to read through all this as there is a lot of information to be gleaned from it.

It was a pleasant surprise to many of us to learn that our last pull of the year was also Cody's birthday. It made it all the more festive and special and everyone had a great time, the weather was fantastic and the food was melt in your mouth, delicious! Thanks to all those who pulled this together.
Hope everyone is enjoying a good holiday season. The new year is already looking good for our CCAMA group starting on Jan. 26th in Washington, UT at 5pm with our annual meeting and banquet. It is at a really special place this year. It will be a specially catered event in a more private location that will even allow for some dancing after the meeting. Watch for more on this as things get finalized. In the meantime MARK YOUR CALENDARS. You won't want to miss this meeting!

Let's have ONE MORE TRACTOR PULL, since the weather is so great!
This is a club only event.
It will be held Saturday, November 17th, 2007, at Nisson's Foodtown. Address is 45 North Main in Washington, UT.
Pull begins at 9:30 am to be followed with a FANTASTIC pot luck meal.
Meat will be provided (smoked turkey, lamb and ham), already they have several signed up to provide Dutch oven potatoes, potato salad, drinks and dutch oven cobbler. Please contact Cody with what you would like to bring and if you have any other questions - 435-668-7924.
This has been a great year of events for us and we have taken in several new members. So let's end our year with one big Celebration on us, for us and really get to know each other.

Nothing ends but something new begins
Well the Pulling season, according to our CCAMA calendar seems over.
Sherman and Kip Hansen reported that the Iron Country Ride had been a lot of fun.
The event last weekend in Page was an even better success than we had hoped and another is definitely in the planning stages for next year. Thoughts are for a longer outback ride, a morning and afternoon pull with a lunch break, more display items and a possible tractor sale. And we upped our memberships from Page from 5 to 8.
We had 2 full days of pulling as well as an outback ride that everyone seemed to enjoy. Most had never driven their tractors on unworked land before and found the experience a fun challenge. The weather stayed on our side for most of the time. Although a bit windy on Saturday the rain held off until we had had 6 hours of pulling and then let loose and really
watered down the field making it an even better track for Sunday. Again we had 6 full hours of pulling with many of us realizing in the late afternoon that we not only hadn't eaten but hadn't had our wake up cup of coffee.
We didn't have a lot of display items but did have 2 that came from the Flagstaff area and were well received by everyone such as the "Do Nothing Machine" that Earl Wolfe brought.
You may have noticed I mentioned a tractor sale above. One thing we had not expected was the interest by the Navajo in our tractors as objects to buy. They are really in need of the small tractors for work on their property. So next year we may promote something like that either with our pull or on a separate date. Anyone have any tractors they would be interested in selling? Know many of them also mentioned parts, so it might be we could set up something on that line as well. Any ideas?
